Stuck In Reverse

Somewhere along the lines you and I will walk,

Between our fingers we will find the charm of old days.

Somewhere along the lines, I miss being honest to you

But If I had a chance I’d lie again to you.

Somewhere along the lines, you and I grew up

Stuck in the clutches of hostel, we learned how to not screw up.

Somewhere along the lines, when I will sit alone

Dear friend you’ll be gone, the tea you made me was so strong.

Somewhere along the lines, when the rusty leaves will crackle

I will wipe a tear, for once again like kids we cannot straddle.

Somewhere along the lines, I want to look forward to tomorrow

But days hold me back, full of sorrow.

Somewhere along the lines, like always I will give you hope,

Alas I will go to bed, with undealt miseries tied to myself with a rope.

Somewhere along the lines, when I’m done cheering you.

Silently vanishing from the scene, I’ll be satisfied to see the happy you.

Somewhere along the lines, when I’ll look towards the sky

Drizzling down will come some bliss from above high.

Somewhere along the lines, fixing this life puzzle will seem hard

But Dear friend, I promise you to come out of this unscarred.
